Survey Crew Chief - Sarasota, FL

Responsibilities

• Drives to and from sites daily.
• Set up, adjust, and operate survey equipment including - level, robotic total station, data collector and GPS equipment.
• Proficient in Construction Staking.
• Reviewing survey field calculations.
• Locating or establishing vertical and horizontal control.
• Utilizing various surveying equipment.
• Prepare field notes.
• Responsible to maintain work-issued vehicle, and survey equipment.
• Follow Hamilton’s safety protocols.
• Work independently as a one-man crew, when needed.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering/construction plans.
• Effectively communicate with contractors, inspectors and team leads in high-pressure environments.

Misc. Requirements

• High School Diploma or Technical degree
• Five (5) plus years of experience in Construction Staking, Topo, & ALTA
• Valid driver’s license
• Basic knowledge/skills with various data collecting software and general computer knowledge
• Physical capabilities: Lift 50 lbs.; driving lath with small sledge; on feet 4-5 hrs. at a time; work in direct sunlight
